Plum Jam
The Shiro plum tree in my mother’s garden produces an overabundance of fruit - to the point where after several rounds of harvests by friends, there were still several hundred fruits left on the tree. I tried to do my part, and picked about 20 pounds myself. but what can one person do with all that fruit? One can only have so many smoothies, granola toppings, snacks, etc., etc. As I’m sure gardeners over the ages have learned, jam and preserves are the perfect way to make use of nature’s bounty!
